Originally from Alpine, Utah, Dr. Jacob Barton is a compassionate dental professional who believes in treating every patient like family. He truly cares about improving lives through dentistry – whether that involves relieving a patient’s pain, fixing their bite, or enhancing their smile. He enjoys providing a friendly atmosphere where patients feel welcome and cared for.
Among many other reasons, Dr. Barton chose dentistry over an MD in order to build trusting relationships with patients. He loves seeing the same patients every six months or so, believing that this consistency allows him to get to know them more. Dr. Barton believes that it is incredible to witness someone’s confidence and desire to smile dramatically grow after they have finally had their dream smile delivered to them.
Proficient in a number of cosmetic, reconstructive, and general treatments, Dr. Barton is especially passionate about porcelain veneers. He is excited about the new developments that allow dentists to use thinner, more aesthetic porcelains and stronger adhesives in order to conserve a significant amount of natural tooth structure.
Dr. Barton is part of SmileTrend Institute, a group of cosmetic dentists who come together to learn and grow from one another. The organization hosts discussions of cases multiple times a week, as well as bi-monthly reviews of smile makeover trends and monthly lectures from top cosmetic dentists around the country. The ultimate goal of SmileTrend Institute is to share new materials, techniques, and practices to help dentists build dream smiles!
Dr. Barton graduated from Utah Valley University with a B.S in Biology and earned his DDS from the University of the Pacific. Committed to continuing education, Dr. Barton is affiliated with both SmileTrend Institute and Spear Education. Every six months, he presents to a group of cosmetic dentists and explains his recent cases in detail.
The youngest of seven kids, Dr. Barton spends most of his free time outside – either at the beach or up in the mountains. He loves playing beach volleyball, diving, open water swimming, and running.
